Lauretta C Kull

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg, IL with Rev. Michael Mohr officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL, Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, IL or Strasburg Community Foundation.

Lauretta was born on February 14, 1921 in Altamont, IL, the daughter of John W. and Frieda Wendling Klitzing. She graduated from Altamont High School in the Class of 1938. Lauretta was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Grace Ladies Aid both in Strasburg, IL She married Carl C. Kull on November 25, 1943. He died on July 19, 2010.

She is survived by her sons, Roger L. Kull (Marilyn) of Strasburg, IL, John D. Kull (Sharon) of Poway, CA and Gary L. Kull (Karen) of Strasburg, IL; sister-in-law, Arline Klitzing of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Carla Thomas (Edward) of Charleston, IL, Steven Kull (Rebecca) of Effingham, IL, Mark Kull (Rhonda) of Strasburg, IL, Chris Sullivan (Dawn) of Glendale, AZ, Dawn Ellis (Dean) of Cedarburg, WI, Karolyn Grela (Nicholas) of Palmdale, CA, Matthew Kull (Roseanna) of San Marcos, CA, Shannon Wascher (Nathaniel) of Stewardson, IL, Krystal Friese (Brock) of Mode, IL and Jenna Layton (Joshua) of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; son, Larry A. Kull; brother, Leonard Klitzing; and infant brother, Enno Klitzing.
