Leola M Logan

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church in Shelbyville or Quad County Hospice.
Lee was born on December 26, 1923 in Moultrie County, IL the daughter of Lester and Mandie (Crowe) Deckard. She graduated in 1941 from Sullivan High School, where she was the Homecoming Queen in 1940. Lee worked in the Shelby County Treasurer’s office and later the Shelby County Clerk’s office until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, shopping, baking, gardening and working in her yard. She married Earl R. Logan on October 24, 1942 in Sullivan, IL. He died on May 3, 2004.
She is survived by her sons, Richard E. Logan (Rojean) of Lincoln, IL, Darrell L. Logan (Judie) of Roca, NE, and Gregory J. Logan (Debbie) of Shelbyville, IL; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and caregiver, Tammy Fathauer of Shelbyville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; brothers, Hathas “Hat” and Kermit “Short” Deckard; and sister, Mary Denham.
