Leon A Gregg

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Lee Lovett officiating. Visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Co. Senior Citizens Center.
Mr. Gregg was born on May 20, 1922 in Fayette County, Illinois, the son of Jesse B. and Fern Cox Gregg. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville and was retired from farming. He married Maxine Fishel on June 28, 1942.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine; son, Richard S. Gregg and wife Paulette of Salem; daughter, Sue (Gregg) Starwalt of Shelbyville; brother, Virgil Gregg and wife Edith of Shelbyville; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann and Doris Gregg both of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren, Rae Ann Gregg, Erika Kohlmeyer, Carrie LeCrone, Aaron Gregg, Paula Gregg, Shawn Starwalt, Shelley Starwalt and Kelly Wallis; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Stanley Gregg in 1969; brothers, Walter Lee and J.C. Gregg; sister, Pauline Reed; and grandson, Ronald Stephen Gregg.
