Lois A. Boys, 80, of Shelbyville, died at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Gary Crowder officiating. Visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Shelby Humane Society.

Mrs. Boys was born on February 8, 1932 in Stewardson, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Agnes Edwards Rentfrow. She centered her life around her family and one of her favorite activities was playing bingo. She married Carl Boys on March 2, 1952.

She is survived by her husband, Carl; son, Harold Boys and wife Marsha of Shelbyville, IL; daughters, Debbie Tichenor and husband John of Shelbyville, IL, Janet Ehret and husband Mike of Belleville, IL and Bonnie Powers and husband Jim of Findlay, IL; brothers, Dale Rentfrow and wife Marilee of Howe, TX, Clarence Junior Rentfrow of Girard, IL and Marvin Rentfrow of Lakewood, WA; sisters, Thelma McCabe and husband Carl of Westville, IL and Betty Ponton and husband Elmer of Manteno, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer McCullough, Carla Luther and husband Jason, Brittany Fitzgerald and fiancé Steve Washburn, Sarah Humphrey and husband Steven, Rachel Knight and husband Jeremy, Justin Tichenor and Wyatt Tichenor; step-grandchildren, Andrew Ehret, Amy Ehret, Monica Cameron and husband Scott and Colleena Fox and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Madelyn McCullough, Katelyn McCullough, Rebecca Tichenor and Sophia Humphrey; step-great grandchildren, Kurtis Cameron, Mason Cameron and Megan Knearem; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Maureen Boys; grandson, Brandon Miller; step-great grandson, Jordon Fox; brothers, Max Rentfrow and Jim Rentfrow; sister, Rochelle McCabe; and brother-in-law, Charlie McCabe.
