Lois M Dilley

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 in the funeral home. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Rescue Squad or the Sturge-Weber Foundation.
Lois was born February 16, 1927 in Shelby County, IL, the daughter of Joel Ray and Mary Alice Silknitter Henderson. She was a graduate of Tower Hill High School in the class of 1945. Before her retirement, she worked at the Senior Citizen’s Thrift Shop in Shelbyville, IL. Lois always put her family first. She thoroughly enjoyed time with her grandkids, and loved seeing and hearing about all of their activities. She was affiliated with First Christian Church in Shelbyville, IL. She married Samuel K. Dilley on December 22, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1993.
Lois is survived by her sons Ken Dilley (Debbie) of Sullivan, IL, Tom Dilley (Susan) of Shelbyville, IL and Rod Dilley (Cindy Phelps) of Shelbyville, IL; grandchildren, Kara Muellner (Mark), Kamie Cowan (Matt), Jake Dilley, Casey Dilley, Kelci Klingel (Tyler), Zach Kistler (fiancée Sadie Hennings), Kaitlyn Dodson (Shawn Cohan), Levi Dodson, Savannah Dilley, and Sierra Dilley; great-grandchildren, Nolan Muellner, Natalie Muellner, Nate Muellner, Ellison Kistler, Raina Klingel and Carter Cohan; sister, Clara Dilley of Carlinville, IL; and sister-in-law Mary Henderson of Pana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Dilley; brother, Wilbur Henderson; sister, Lucille Foor; and brothers-in-law, C. Dale Dilley and Wilmer Foor.
