Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007, in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Lee Lovett officiating. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until time of services. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to her family. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, in Vermilion Heights Christian Church, 725 Oakwood Ave., Danville, Illinois.
Mrs. Corley was born on December 30, 1912 in Rose Twp. of Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of Orval Ned and Goldie Mae Duckett Leach. She worked for Sta-Rite Ginnie Lou, Inc. in Shelbyville before moving to Danville. She married Howard Allen Corley on February 24, 1934. He died on June 16, 1967.
Surviving are her son, James Howard Corley and wife Linda of Danville; sister, Millie Freemon of Olney; grandsons, Mark Corley and wife Cindy of Georgetown and Scott Corley and wife Kim of Danville; great grandchildren, Ashley Corley, Brittany Kietzmann and Austin Corley all of Georgetown, and Kyan Corley and Kyna Corley both of Danville; nephews, Kenneth Leach and wife Sharon of Melissa, Texas, Robert Freemon and wife Mary Jo of Garden City, South Carolina, and Rodney Freemon and wife Alberta of Olney, Illinois; niece, Joyce Beem of Windsor; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; brothers, Medford Leach and Loren “Bud” Leach; sister, Mary Lou Leach; and one great grandchild.
