Loretta Ozeta Finney , 101, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Hawthorn Inn, Danville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, IL   Memorials may be given to the First Church of the Nazarene, Shelbyville, IL.

Loretta was born on October 13, 1920 in Bowlegs, OK, the daughter of Royce and Myrtey Mae (Forbes) Corsaut.  She attended high school in Oklahoma.  Loretta married Warren H. “Steve” Finney on July 8, 1939.  She worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Sullivan, IL.  Loretta was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and spending time with her church family.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Spicer (Gary) of Catlin, IL; daughter in law, Patricia “Tece” Finney of Windsor, IL; brother, Joel of Washington; sisters, Mary Lou and Susie both of Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Finney; son, Jerome “Jerry” Finney; grandson, Shane Spicer; great granddaughter, Haley Burrows; and five brothers and sisters, Warren, John, Charles, Helen and Leona.
