Loyd Frederick Rincker , 92, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 10:52 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Kene Whybrew officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg.

Mr. Rincker was born on December 14, 1929 in Strasburg, IL, the son of Otto William and Rosetta Sophie Bertha Krile Rincker. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Strasburg High School in the Class of 1947. Loyd was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in Germany.  He trained race horses and also raised and trained his own colts. Loyd spent over 20 years at the track, racing horses in Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. He was a grain and livestock farmer, farming with his nephew, Jim Rincker.  He enjoyed raising and showing Hereford Cattle.  Loyd was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg. He married Mary Stansberry Beckman at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on July 11, 1965. She survives.

Also surviving are his step-son, Michael Beckman and wife Beverly of Shelbyville, IL; step-daughters, Connie Middleton and husband Ron of Shelbyville, IL, and Lee Anna Warner of Ft. Worth, TX and her companion Elmer Ruff of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Norma Rose Huddleston of Strasburg, IL; sister-in-law, Mildred Rincker of Strasburg, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his folks; brothers, Ivan, Dale, & Merl Rincker; step-son, Scott Henry Beckman; and step-granddaughter, Tiffany Wilkinson.
