Luther Wright
(March 31, 1931 – February 12, 2010)
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Robert Barr officiating and flag presentation by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be given to Quad County Hospice.
Luther was born on March 31, 1931 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Leslie and K. Lulu Lee Wright. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Luther worked in the greenhouse at Shelby County Community Services, in Shelbyville.
He is survived by one son; brother, Frank Wright of Swansea, IL; sister, Juanita Hallace of East St. Louis, IL; several nieces and nephews; and many loved ones at Cornerstone Apartments and in the Shelbyville area.
Luther was preceded in death by one son; parents; step-mother; four brothers; and one sister.
