A private family visitation will be held in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
Madeline was born on January 31, 1935 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Ervin and Hazel L. Curry Spicer. She married Glenn Wilcox on June 10, 1964 in Shelbyville, IL.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; children, Cherri Ruff (Danny) of Fancher, Diane Myers (Mark) of Greenup, John Carter of Stewardson, Mike Wilcox (Chris Love) of Decatur, Chad Wilcox of Mode, and Bill Shewmake of New Jersey; grandchildren, Stephanie Coventry (Josh) of Fancher, Deana Finks of Stewardson, Shannon Cushman (J.P. Smith) of Stewardson, Corine Wilcox of Mode, Zach and Jacob Carter of Effingham, Aaron Carter of Watson, Kaci Lyn Carter of Stewardson and Taylor Wilcox of Casper, Wyoming; and great grandchildren, Paige Madeline and Cloe Renae Coventry of Fancher, Raeann Marie and Abagail Leann Smith of Stewardson, and Adam Gregory Finks of Stewardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Lou Carter; and granddaughter, Danielle Marie Cushman.
