Mamie Murray

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Illinois. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Sullivan, Missouri.
Mamie was born on August 14, 1912 in Butts, Missouri, the daughter of Andrew Gratz and Mamie Clonts Murray. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of St. James and St. John in Sullivan, Missouri.
Surviving are her sister, Lillian M. Bale of Lawrenceville, Illinois; nephew, William Dennis “Dick” Murray of Shelbyville, Illinois; and nieces, Susan McCarthy of Fort Meyers, Florida and Winifred Gay of Lawrenceville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joel Murray and William Allen Murray; and three sisters, Daphna I. Hopkins, Nellie V. Lewis and Emily Josephine Tourville.
