Margaret J. Neely

Margaret June Neely, 87, of Plainfield, IN, formerly of Assumption, IL, passed away at 12:30 a.m.  Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in, Plainfield, IN.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL.  Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Macon Cemetery, Macon, IL.

Margaret was born on April 7, 1934 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Melvin W. and Rita M. (Julius) Mathias.  She earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting and Business and her Master’s Degree in Business.  Margaret worked in the accounting department for IKON Office Solutions in Indianapolis, IN.  She enjoyed taking care of her dogs and watching old movies.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Neely of Plainfield, IN and Tony Neely of Meridianville, AL; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Rita Mathias; and sister, Janet Knearem Mount.
