Marilyn Joan Thompson, 80, of Chatham, IL passed away at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the organization of the donor’s choice.

Marilyn was born on November 8, 1940 in Maywood, IL, the daughter of Fred and Vera (Klein) Budack. She grew up and Broadview, IL and graduated from Proviso High School (Maywood, IL) in 1958. Marilyn was a faithful member of Chatham United Methodist Church. She always enjoyed gardening, crafting and caring for her beloved pets.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Sandy Stenger and husband Jeff of Shelbyville, IL; son, Scott Ford and wife Lori of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Gail Stilling of Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Meagan Sadowski (Brendan) of Fishers, IN, Ryan Stenger of Indianapolis, IN, Christina Boyer (Adam) of McHenry, IL, and Derek Ford (Mandi) of McHenry, IL; great grandchildren, Cassie and Audrey Boyer, Charlotte and Jax Ford, and Luke Sadowski; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Fred Budack, Jr. and her beloved Shih Tzu, Missy.
