A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Dan Seibert officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday. There will be a family committal service later in Marrowbone Twp. Cemetery, Bethany, IL.
Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Shelbyville, IL.

Marjorie was born on April 1, 1933 in rural Bethany, IL, the daughter of Clifford Lawson and Elsie “Faye” (Kelly) Bartimus. She graduated from Bethany High School in the Class of 1951. Marjorie began working in the office of Leach-Wilson Chevrolet-Buick in Shelbyville, IL. She then worked with her husband as office manager of Bud’s Sheet Metal in Shelbyville, IL. Marjorie later worked in the school cafeterias of Shelbyville CUSD #4. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville, IL and a former leader of the Happy, Health, Handy, Helpers 4-H Club in Shelbyville, IL. She married Delmar Lee “Bud” Bly on April 27, 1956. He died on Sept. 24, 2012.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly K. Bly of Bedford, IN; son, Kevin B. Bly of Shelbyville, IL; brother, James “Jim” Bartimus (Linda) of Decatur, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ralph Bartimus (Leanne); sisters, Helen “Loraine” Brewer (Kenneth) and Nelda Smith (Dale); and nephew, Dean Brewer.
