Mark Wells
(March 21, 1959 – July 21, 2016)
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be at a later date in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, IL. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Mark was born on March 21, 1959 in Danville, IL, the son of Bobby Newton and Mary Brubaker Wells. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1978 and also from Lake Land College with associate degrees in drafting and CAD. Mark worked for International Paper in Shelbyville for 25 years in the printing and maintenance departments. He was an avid fan of motorsports.
He is survived by his father, Bob Wells and wife Barbara of Shelbyville, IL; mother, Mary Wells of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Nancy Boltz and husband Greg of Tower Hill, IL; brother, Timothy Lee Wells of Shelbyville, IL; step-sister, Patti Bennett of Shelbyville, IL; step-brother, Larry Bennett and wife Sue of Ely, MN; nephew, Aaron Boltz of Tower Hill, IL; niece, Alissa Boltz of Tower Hill, IL; and several step-nieces and step-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Jerry Bennett.
