Mary Jane Thomas

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg with Rev. Kathy Lewis officiating. Visitation from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, Illinois. Memorials may be given to Strasburg United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Thomas was born on February 15, 1928 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin and Ethel Davis Fowler. She was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church. She married Donald L. Thomas on February 22, 1947.
Surviving are her husband, Donald; son, John Brickley of Avon, OH; daughters, Phyllis Caskey of Mechanicsburg, Patricia Hornor of Flemington, WV, Betty Burns of Mattoon, Vicky Abella of Glendale, AZ, Peggy Terrell of St. Louis, MO and Sherry Parker of Mattoon; sister, Juanita Driscoll of Portland, OR; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Richards; three brothers; and two sisters.
