Mary Sue Mifflin

A private burial will take place Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.
Sue was born on June 8, 1944 in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Lewis and Jessie (Leach) Irwin. She was a machine operator for Imperial Bondware in Shelbyville, retiring in 1986. Sue then worked in the Main Street School cafeteria in Shelbyville from 1998 until 2005. She enjoyed oil painting, craft making, traveling, listening to country music and sewing. She married Larry J. Mifflin on April 23, 1983.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Scott Jarnagin (Patty) of Shelbyville, IL; grandchildren, Brett Jarnagin, Lexi Walk (Alex), Zach and Alec Jarnagin, and Patrick and Ashley Doty; and great grandchildren Aleria Beelendorf, Lucy and Pierce Walk, Jameson Jarnagin, Levi Doty and River Kay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tim Jarnagin; brother, Glen Irwin; sister, Shirley Zarate; and great granddaughter, Alaina Jarnagin.
