Mavis J Spesard
(August 23, 1932 – August 31, 2019)
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Kathy Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville.
Mavis was born on August 23, 1932 in Pana, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Mavis (Price) Huttes. She graduated from Pana High School in the Class of 1950. Mavis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville. She enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking, and collecting angels. Mavis married Stanley Ross Spesard on August 31, 1952.
She is survived by husband, Dr. Stanley Ross Spesard, DVM; daughters, Patricia Corinn Desmond of Bloomington, IL and Heidi Ann Spesard-Noble (Jim) of Minneapolis, MN; sons, Stanley Alan Spesard (Beki) of Shelbyville, IL, and Jack Andrew Spesard (Karen) of Kildeer, IL; grandchildren, Ryan Desmond (Melissa), Tara Desmond, Tricia Desmond, Arthur Noble, Eleanor Noble, Jenna Spesard, Cameron Spesard (Ashley), Kyle Spesard (Rochelle) and Blake Partridge (Tristan); and great granddaughter, Bree Desmond; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and eight siblings, Jean McClure, Patsy Culberson, John Huttes, Norma Endris, Joyce Maton, Bob Huttes, Jerry Huttes, and Rilla Miller.
