Max F Schultz
(July 22, 1926 – September 24, 2009)
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg with Pastor Mark Klingler officiating. Visitation from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Neoga Cemetery, Neoga, IL with military rites. Memorials may be given to Shelbyville Girls Softball.
Max was born on July 22, 1926 in Stewardson, Illinois, the son of John Floyd and Erna Mae Laver Schultz. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Max worked for the rail road, worked construction during the building of Lake Shelbyville, was a milk route driver and later worked on several farms in the Strasburg area. Max was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing, outdoors, kids and animals.
Surviving are his brother, Adam Schultz of Shelbyville; sister, Opal McMasters of Spring Hill, Florida; several nieces, nephews and friends; and his dog, Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Carl, Merl and Roy Schultz; sisters, Ruth Keller, Marguerite Alto, Freda Nilhas and Ales Schultz.
