Michael D Shride

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 in Tower Hill Cemetery, Tower Hill, IL with Rev. Gary Bauerle officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Casual attire is requested. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals Shelby County or donor’s choice.
Michael was born on August 30, 1985 in Decatur, IL the son of Michael Terry Shride and Linda Sue File. He attended and graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 2003. Michael was currently employed at GSI in Assumption, IL. He attended Henton Church of God in Henton, IL and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Boston Red Sox.
Michael is survived by his son, Aidan Shride of Eureka, IL; father, Michael T. Shride of Lakewood, IL; mother, Linda Sue File of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Michele Hippard of Shelbyville, IL; nieces, McKinley and McKenna Hippard; special friend, Taylor Moran of Pana, IL; best buds, Stuart Durbin and David Rader both of Shelbyville, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Maxine File; paternal grandparents, Don and Barbara Shride; and aunt, Donella Shride Mitchell.
