Mildred L Snodderly

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Rev. Ron Mulvaney officiating. Visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the Strasburg Southern Baptist Church.
Mrs. Snodderly was born on October 12, 1918 in Kodak, Tennessee, the daughter of George and Sue Underwood Keener. She worked for Hygrade in Shelbyville for 21 years and then in the Title Division of the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office in Springfield for 25 years. Mildred attended the Strasburg Southern Baptist Church. She married John C. Snodderly on January 4, 1940. He died on November 1, 2004.
Surviving are her daughter, DeVure “Dee” Pieper and husband Paul of Effingham; sister, Ressie Hickman of Kodak, Tennessee; granddaughters, Paula Ballinger and husband Glen of Strasburg and Kim Muller and husband Charlie of Windermere, Florida; great grandchildren, Kara Dalton and husband Chad of St. Louis, Missouri and Jacob and Haley Muller both of Windermere, Florida; and step-great great grandchildren, Kevin and Paige Dalton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; two brothers; and two sisters.
