Nancy Carol (Brown) Lundy, 68, of Cowden, formerly of Pekin, Illinois, died at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Union Cemetery, Mode, Illinois, with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Nancy was born on March 30, 1939 in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest Earl and Amy Ada Dennis Brown. She graduated from Pekin Community High School in the Class of 1957 and in 1960 graduated from Decatur and Macon County School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked at various hospital and nursing homes including Pekin Hospital and Olivewood Health Care Center in Shelbyville. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Cowden and the Decatur Memorial Hospital Alumni Association.

Surviving are her niece, Cheryl Lynn (Brown) Abel of Peoria; and cousins, Steve and Monte Summers both of Beecher City, Rick Summers of Shelbyville, Tim Summers of Vandalia and several in the Pekin area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Earl Brown.
