Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the First Church of the Nazarene, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden and Rev. Bob Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Nancy was born on March 3, 1951 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of John Earl and Wanda Mae Prowell Cranford. She graduated from Tuscola High School in the Class of 1969. Nancy was an executive secretary for IGA in Chicago, IL at the time of her retirement. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville, IL. She married Jack Edward Schurman on November 27, 1976.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughters, Kelli Ann (Crystal) Hannah-Schurman of Shelbyville, IL and Kim Marie (Tony) Schurman-Menard of Morton Grove, IL; sisters, Marsha (Richard) Nolte of Decatur, IL and Jill (Bruce) Scott of Florida; and grandchildren, J. C. Cox, Merzede Hannah-Schurman, Keegan Hannah-Schurman and Vanitty Hannah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Edward Schurman; nephew, Johnny Hamilton; and several grandchildren.
