Norma M Thomas

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Howard Sallee officiating. Visitation will be from noon-1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Shelbyville, IL.
Norma was born on March 20, 1936 in Rose Twp., Shelby Co., IL, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Pea Pfeiffer. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1953. Norma married Kenneth E. Thomas on February 1, 1955. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Norma was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She moved to Gainesville, MO in 2005 to live with her daughter, Teri. While living there she and her grandson, Bo, spent a lot of time together creating and constructing his train set.
She is survived by her three daughters, Diane Holthaus and husband Brian of Assumption, IL, Kathy Fox of Shelbyville, IL and Teri Friese and husband Todd of Gainesville, MO; sister-in-law, Shirley Pfeiffer of Shelbyville, IL; grandchildren, Bo Friese, Jerry Stretch, and Frank Fox and wife Meredith; and great grandchildren, Bridget and Rory Fox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth on July 27, 1990; brothers, Lyle and Robert Pfeiffer; and sisters, Dolores Rose and Lorraine Pfeiffer.
