Pamela McCabe
(September 20, 1949 – June 19, 2019)
In keeping with Pam’s wishes, no services will be held. Burial will be at a later date in Jordan Cemetery, near Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Pam was born on September 20, 1949 in Washington, IL, the daughter of Kenneth J. and Laverne LaCont Behnke. She married Glen E. McCabe on July 21, 1967 in Shelbyville, IL. Pam was a dietitian at Shelby Memorial Hospital for several years. Most recently, she was a Department Manager for Walmart in Canon City, CO. Following her retirement, Pam and Glen moved back to the Shelbyville area in 2012. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and making wood crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; sons, Jeremy E. McCabe of Decatur, IL and Jason E. McCabe (Danica) of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, David and Michael Behnke both of Decatur, IL; sisters, Valorie Hasty of Roanoke, IL, Virginia Martin of Windsor, IL and Deborah Behnke of Decatur, IL; brother-in-law, Danny McCabe of Texas; sisters-in-law, Carla Haas (David) of Florida and Marla Squires (Charles) of Kentucky; grandchildren, Cailee Drone (Shane), Colton McCabe, Kayla McCabe, Jaylin McCabe; great grandchildren, Preston Davis, Kylie McCabe, Jazzlyn Lowe, Joshua Drone, Harley Drone and Shane Drone, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Kay McCabe; and twin grandsons, Kyler and Tyler McCabe.
