Pamela S Butler

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Wings of Mercy, First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville or Book of Hope International.
Pam was born on August 25, 1958 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Gene and Joyce Johnston. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1976 and worked at the Decatur Credit Bureau and later for Century Ridge Apartments in Minnesota. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville. During Pam’s courageous battle with cancer her wish was to come back home to Illinois and the “Wings of Mercy” made that possible. Pam loved people and the visits she had with all her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Courtney Elizabeth Butler and fiancé, Jamie Theobald and Haley Brianna Butler all of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; parents, Gene and Joyce Johnston of Shelbyville; sisters, Debbie Perryman of Mt. Zion and Brenda West and husband Dick of Mattoon; brother, David Johnston and wife Sandy of Shelbyville; friend Bruce Daniels of Minnesota; eight nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harley and Muriel Pinkston and Paul and Ruby Johnston.
