Pauline Wells
(April 26, 1926 – April 29, 2013)
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Don Shasteen officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville Area Ambulance Service.
Pauline was born on April 26, 1926 in Kirkmansville, KY, the daughter of Timmons and Ollie Bryant Hardison. She married Ocus Lee Wells on April 15, 1942. He died on November 9, 1985.
Surviving are her children, Jerry (Cheryl) Wells of Shelbyville, Paula (Roger) Hubner of Shelbyville, James (Becky) Wells of Shelbyville, Eddie (Janet) Wells of Shelbyville, Pam (Philip) Catona of Shelbyville, Loretta (Brad) Agney of Shelbyville, Barb (Donavan) Hocking of Shelbyville, Becky (Steve) Ulmer of Strasburg, John (Joy) Wells of Shelbyville and Christy (Brent) Macklin of Findlay; 28 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; and 23 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ocus; sons, Larry and Raben Wells; daughter, Betty Markle; five brothers; and seven sisters.
She will be remembered for the love and care that she shared with her family and friends. Her home was a special place where a meal was always ready or soon would be. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
