Phillip Dale Rincker, 23, of Strasburg, Illinois, went to be with the Lord at 4:07 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2008 in rural Strasburg, Illinois.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, Illinois with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County 4-H Federation or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg.

Phillip was born on June 4, 1985 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Otis Dale and Donna Rose Carie Rincker. He graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg High School in the Class of 2003, Lakeland College in 2005 and the University of Illinois with his degree in animal science in 2007. He was a grain and livestock farmer with his dad and a member of Shelby County Farm Bureau and the American Simmental Cattle Association. He was active in Livestock Judging Teams, Strasburg Tailtwisters 4-H Club, National Honor Society and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg.

Surviving are his parents, Otis and Donna Rincker of Strasburg; brothers, Cody Lawrence Rincker and Will Frederick Rincker both of Strasburg; grandparents, Lawrence and Barb Carie of Effingham and Gail Rincker of Strasburg; aunts and uncles, Otto Rincker and wife Lisa of Strasburg, Cinda Held and husband Ed of Strasburg, Dan Carie and wife Annette of Decatur, Diane Deters and husband Jim of Tolono, Dennis Carie and wife Tammy of Effingham and Doris Zerrusen and husband Tony of Funkhouser; Godchild, Katie Rose Carie of Effingham and many other cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Rincker and uncle, Daryl Moffett.

Phillip will be lovingly missed by all.
