Phyllis C Kull

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. E. Wade Helmkamp officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Phyllis was born on April 9, 1933 in Plaza, North Dakota, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Wold Myhre. She graduated in three years from Plaza High School, Plaza, ND, where she was salutatorian of the Class of 1950. Phyllis continued her education at the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology, Minneapolis, MN, graduating in 1951. She was an x-ray and laboratory technician in Rawlins, WY from 1951-1953 and Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville, IL from 1953-1995. Phyllis was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Holy Cross Lutheran Church both in Shelbyville, IL. She married Kenneth Kull on June 30, 1954.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Kevin Kull of Chicago, IL, Steven Kull (Alicia) of Northbrook, IL, Kristi Brown (Craig) of Chesterfield, MO and Kent Kull (Tammi) of Shelbyville, IL; fourteen grandchildren: Kevin’s children, Kimberly Griffith (Daniel), Noelle Kull, Kevin Joseph Kull and Mark Michaelson (Janie); Steven’s children, Madeline, Molly and Matthew Kull; Kristi’s children, Kyle, Cory and Karli Brown; and Kent’s children, McKenna, Kade, Tucker and Maisie Kull; four great grandchildren; sister, Donna Myhre Schoess of Plaza, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Myhre; and siblings, Stanley Myhre, Earl Myhre, Eva Myhre Johnson, Joseph Myhre, Jr., Alice Myhre Edwards and Louella Myhre Hoff.
