Phyllis Evelyn Campbell, 83, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 3:12 am Sunday, August 4, 2019 in Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before services on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #4829 or Shelby Co. Honor Guard.

Phyllis was born on September 17, 1935 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lenore (Foor) Shuff. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1953. Phyllis married Herb Campbell on June 4, 1953 in Greely, Colorado. Together they had three sons, Kelly, Kirk and Kerry. Herb preceded her in death on July 21, 2015.

Phyllis and Herb traveled the world with Herb’s Air Force career. They returned to Shelbyville in 1973. Phyllis was a homemaker and worked part time at the City Package Liquor Store, Shelbyville Title Company and F.S. Red Barn. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #4829 both in Shelbyville, IL.

Phyllis enjoyed her flowers, reading, cooking, gardening and her pets. Most of all she loved her friends and family.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Kelly Campbell and Kerry Campbell both of Shelbyville, IL and Kirk (Peggy) Campbell of Oconee, IL; brother Larry (Jodi) Shuff; and sisters, Bertha Davis of Decatur, IL and Fran Smart of Shelbyville, IL.

She was also blessed with grandsons; Jake Reed and Levi (Brandi) Reed all of Oconee, IL; and great grandchildren, Jordyn Reed, Alivia Reed, Issabel Reed and Adalee Reed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herb; and brother, Kenneth Shuff.
