Retta Elaine Parks , 81, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 7:12 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lakewood IL. Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.

Retta was born on September 28, 1940, the daughter of John Harold and Thelma Ethel Eckel Welton. She previously worked at Guy’s Steakhouse in Shelbyville. Retta enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting.

She is survived by her sons, Jim Parks and wife Debbie of Shelbyville, IL, Wayne Parks of Shelbyville, IL, and Larry Parks of Lakewood, IL; seven grandchildren, John, Sis, Tanner, Nathan, Aaron, Jamie and Jenna; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents; son, Terry Parks; twin brother, Oscar Eugene Welton; brothers, Lawson Lee Welton, Harold Leroy Welton and John Paige Welton.
