Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. E. Wade Helmkamp officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, Findlay, IL. A luncheon will be served at VFW Post #4829 in Shelbyville following services at the cemetery. Memorials may be given to Shelby Sports Club.
Bob was born on October 17, 1958 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Clarence W. and Martha M. Bruce Boyd. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1976. Bob was a meat cutter at County Market in Shelbyville. He was an avid outdoorsman. Bob enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting, fishing on the Kaskaskia River and hunting mushrooms. He married Rebecca R. Carroll on January 2, 2004. Bob was a devoted grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; step-children, Brandon M. Hubbard, Lindsay N. Hubbard (Lance) and Kristin E. Hubbard (Josh) all of Shelbyville; brother, L. Brian Boyd (Lisa) of Edinburg, IL; and step-grandchildren, Brayden M Hubbard, Conner L. Macklin and Malena L. Macklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
