Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Jim Whitaker and Pastor Barbara Stoud-Borth officiating. Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church both in Shelbyville.

Mr. Weakly was born on September 19, 1928 near Westervelt, Illinois, the son of Robert Cecil and Bertha Lois Pfeiffer Weakly. He graduated from Westervelt High School in the Class of 1946. Bob farmed in the Westervelt area until his retirement. He was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church in Westervelt, where he married Betty Lorain Hoke on July 18, 1948.

Surviving are his wife Betty; son, Brad Weakly (Karyn) of Shelbyville; daughters, Susan Myers (Jon) of Shelbyville and Shirley Thomas (David) of Rowlett, TX; sister-in-law, Helen Weakly of Pana; uncle, Don Weakly (Marilyn) of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Shane Myers of Shelbyville, Curt Myers (Becky) of Shelbyville, Erin Hein (Ben) of Pesotum, TerraAnn Downs (Tim) of Windsor, and Kristen and Caitlin Thomas both of Austin, TX; and great grandchildren, Kalie Myers, Lauren Jones, Lindsay Jones, Collin Jones, Hayden Downs, Haylee Downs and Taylor Hein.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Weakly; and grandson, Matthew Lee Weakly.
