Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 in Ash Grove Cemetery, Windsor, IL. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Strong Tower Radio, PO Box 567, Cadillac, MI 49601.
Mr. Ferguson was born on July 7, 1944 in Lovington, IL, the son of Clarence and Minnie Mae Newlan Ferguson. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob was a self-employed drywall installer. He married Roxanne Joyce Vanbuskirk. He later married Bonnie Rutherford.
Surviving are his sons, Kenny Ferguson of Argenta, IL and Scott Ferguson of Miami, FL; daughter, Bobbie Marie Ferguson of Decatur, IL; life-time friend, Linda Schmeling of Decatur, IL; brothers, Gene Ferguson (Donna) of Decatur, IL Keith Ferguson (Gladys) of Dayton, TN, Dean Ferguson (Linda) of Higdon, AL, Dan Ferguson (Linda) of Thompson’s Station, TN, Stan Ferguson (Nancy) of Lovington, IL and Sid Ferguson (Leslie) of Findlay, IL; sisters, Judy Bolduc of Decatur, IL, Joyce Chapman (Carroll) of Decatur, IL, Sharon Lucas (Ed) of Chattanooga, TN, Frances Hoffman of Decatur, IL, Betty Franke (Leslie) of Akron, OH and Diane Williams (Chuck) of Shelbyville, IL; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Patricia Diane Ferguson in 1965.
