Roscoe A Hubner

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. David Beerbower officiating. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Memorials may be given to donor’s choice.
Mr. Hubner was born on November 7, 1925 in Rural Township of Shelby County, IL the son of Fritz and Jennie Stanley Hubner. He retired after 52 years of farming. He married Helen Trueblood on January 7, 1945. She died on February 21, 1971. He married Nancy L. Vincent Ellison on January 30, 1981.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; sons, Virgil Hubner and wife Vicki of Shelbyville, Roger Hubner and wife Paula of Shelbyville, and Steve Hubner and wife Kathy of Tower Hill; seven grandchildren, Heather Wooters and husband Jeff, Brooke Shufelt and husband Brandon, Sherry Middleton and husband Alan, Teresa Snyder and husband Kevin, Roscoe Hubner and wife Alyson, Tonya Atteberry and husband Craig and Joe Hubner and wife Danielle; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ione Hubner of Shelbyville; and special friends, Charles “Chet” and Lavinia Jenkins & family and John and Kristie Frederick & family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil, Fred, Harry and Charles Hubner; and sisters, Irene Beck and Bertha Seelow.
