Rose Marie Allsop , 93, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Tina Miller and Rev. Kevin Ray officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Price Cemetery, near Oconee, IL.  Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church in Shelbyville, IL.

Rose Marie was born on June 17, 1930, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Joe and Rosie (Martz) Holland.  She attended Shelbyville High School.  Rose Marie married Douglas J. Price on January 24, 1948.  They were married for 27 years when Doug passed away on June 14, 1975.  Rose Marie worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone office in Shelbyville and then as a dispatcher for the Shelbyville Police Department.  Rose Marie later owned and operated a cleaning service, working at Continental Bondware in Shelbyville, for 17 years.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary both in Shelbyville.  Rose Marie married Marvin Lee “Red” Allsop on December 20, 1986.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Lee “Red” Allsop; children, Brian D. Price of Shelbyville, IL, Toni Marie Helton (Richard) of Shelbyville, IL, Kathy Jo Matlock (Mark) of Canyon Lake, TX, Tim Anderson (Wanda) of Lerna, IL, Terry Allsop (Sheri) of Effingham, IL and Lesa Allsop of Sunset Hills, MO; son-in-law, Phil Alward of Decatur, IL; daughters-in-law, Diane Price of Shelbyville, IL and Tania Allsop of St. Augustine, FL; brothers, Jim Holland of Shelbyville, IL and Pat Holland (Judy) of Corinth, TX; sister-in-law, Shirley Holland of Shelbyville, IL; 23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rosie Holland; first husband, Douglas Price; children, Vicki Alward, Jeff L. Price, and Nick Allsop; brothers, Joe Bud Holland and Richard Holland; and one infant grandson, David R. Price.
