Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Tower Hill Free Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Newman officiating. Visitation from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery. Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Tower Hill Free Methodist Church or Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Mr. Barringer was born on September 27, 1920 in Tower Hill, Illinois, the son of Russell and Daisy Opal Banning Barringer. He was a member of the Tower Hill Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are his sister, Wanda Cloe of Shelbyville; half-sister, Peggy Ryan of California; nephew, Orval Miller and wife Linda of Tower Hill; step-nephew, Richard Petty and wife Rachel of Columbus, OH; great niece, Shelby Marsh of Tower Hill; great nephew, Mike Miller and wife Jennifer of Tower Hill; and great great nephews, Therron Marsh and John Miller both of Tower Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-sister, Edith Petty and husband Merrill; and step-brother, Dean Brownlee.
