Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Howard Sallee officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Feed The Children.
Mrs. Patterson was born on May 15, 1916 in Effingham County, IL, the daughter of Avery and Perly Ann Webb Rentfro. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Shelbyville, IL and Stewardson Day HCE. She married Fredric Andrew Patterson on August 30, 1935 in Stewardson, IL. He died on March 26, 1985.
She is survived by her son, Richard E. Patterson and wife Dee of Athens, TN; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Patterson of Strasburg, IL; grandchildren, Kathy (Pat) Yakey, Cindy (Phil) Neff, Gina (Scott) Monroe, Richard (Cindy) Patterson, Debbie (Eric) Frash, MaryAnn (Randy) Wilks, Andy (Melissa) Patterson, Amber (Bradley) Tucker and Ashley Patterson; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; son, Robert F. Patterson; five brothers; and three sisters.
