Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Humane Society.
Mrs. Owens was born on July 28, 1913 in Charleston, the daughter of William Allen and Bessie Sherburn Tucker. She married Charles W. Owens on July 23, 1955. He died on July 7, 1997.
Surviving are her nephews, Don Simroth of Charlottesville, VA and Carl Simroth of Decatur; and niece, Shirley Hughes of Bella Vista, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Don Tucker; and sister, Florence Simroth.
