Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Jeff Grote officiating. Visitation from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville or donor’s choice.

Mrs. Lantz was born on January 31, 1910 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Frank and Cora Rueff Bolinger. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1927 and later from Iowa State University as a dietician. She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville and a member of Presbyterian Women’s Association and Chi Omega. She married Earl M. “Choker” Lantz on August 25, 1937. He died on March 18, 2003.

Surviving are her sons, Jay Bradford Lantz (Jane) of Shakopee, MN and Scott Marvin Lantz (Kathy) of Shelbyville, IL; daughters, Nancy Sue Kollman (Ron) of Sheldon, IL and Linda Lee Abbe (George) of White Plains, MD; sister-in-law, Evelyn Cote’ of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Michael Kollman (Kate) of Fitchburg, WI, Todd Kollman (Colette) of Earl Park, IN, Sherry McCrystal (Steve) of London UK, Angela McCarthy (Kevin) of Burke, VA, Cathryn Mezyk (Ed) of Prior Lake, MN, Joshua Lantz of Shakopee, MN, Jeffrey McClain (Michele) of Fredericksburg, VA, Sarah Dicks of Morrisville, NC and Megan Lantz of Chicago, IL; great grandchildren, Nicole, Molly and Luke Kollman of Fitchburg, WI, Logan, Livia and Liam Kollman of Earl Park, IN, Sean, Kyle and Brendan McCrystal of London UK, Erin and Alison McCarthy of Burke, VA, Avery, Davis and Sadie Mezyk of Prior Lake, MN and Jacob McClain and Elijah and Adam Millard all of Fredericksburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl M. “Choker” Lantz; sister, Frances Bolinger and granddaughter, Kimberly Sue Kollman.
