Sandra K. Taylor

Sandra Kay Taylor, 76, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham, IL.

Sandra was born on August 3, 1948, in Ottawa, IL, the daughter of Robert L. and Ruby Eileen (Brandt) Foster. Her family later moved to Shelbyville, IL, where she attended Shelbyville High School. Sandra worked at International Paper in Shelbyville, IL, retiring in 2010 after 27.5 years. She married Danny L. Taylor on May 12, 1992, in Las Vegas, NV, and they were married for 32 years. A hardworking and selfless woman, Sandra Taylor always put others above herself. She was the heart of the family – always there whenever anyone needed her, offering kindness, support, and an open heart. She had a passion for cooking and baking. Sandra loved playing bingo and gaming, but above all, she cherished the time with her friends and family, making countless memories filled with love and laughter.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Danny; son, Wesley Reynolds (Patty) of Shelbyville, IL; daughters, Tina Gordon (Heidi) of Effingham, IL, Rebecca Cagle (Josh) of Effingham, IL, and Monica Row (Marcus) of Dieterich, IL; sisters, Carol Wiles (Tom Dunn) of Ramsey, IL, Shirley Elder of Effingham, IL, Patsy Mietzner of Mason, IL, and Judy McWhorter (Tim) of Watson, IL; sister-in-law, Debbie Whiteman (Don) of Decatur, IL; brother-in-law, Mark “Tony” Taylor (Barb) of Decatur, IL; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Diana Martin and Sharon Foster; and one brother, Bobby Foster.
