Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville.
Sherrie was born on September 1, 1952 in Rantoul, IL, the daughter of Lawrence Eldon “Larry” and Roberta May Portwood Stevens. She married John Collins on August 7, 1998.
Surviving are her husband, John; son, Larry Collins and wife Lois of Cowden; daughter, Jessica Renae (Collins) Severe and husband Larry of Cowden; father, Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Stevens of Shelbyville; grandmother, Daisy Stevens of Shelbyville; brothers, Paul E. Stevens and Ralph Darin Stevens both of Cowden; sisters, Beverly Hopkins and husband Fred of Seneca, MO, Pamela Brown and husband Blaine of Cowden, Marla Powers and husband Don of Shelbyville, Joyce Pendlay of Heartville and Roberta Stevens of Cowden; grandchildren, Brandon Tyler Edwards, Jeremiah Lawrence Collins, Emily Elizabeth Severe and Alec Malik Million.
She was preceded in death by her mother; grandparents, Ralph and Florence Portwood and Paul Stevens; sister, Shirley Arkebauer; niece, Kristal Brown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Marie Collins and brother-in-law, Keith Collins.
