Shirley Ann (Boarman) Gaddis, 79, of Shelbyville, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Brother Wayne Polk officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Shirley was born on August 17, 1933 in Pawnee, IL, the daughter of Lawrence Ambrose and Lenora Alice Lovens Boarman. She attended Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. Shirley was a secretary for Dowler Farm Equipment Company in Shelbyville and also drove a school bus for the Shelbyville Community Unit School District for many years. She was a member of the South Second Street Church of Christ in Shelbyville and the Shelbyville Garden Club. She married Lyle Blaine Gaddis on May 25, 1957. He died on January 24, 2012.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Gaddis and wife Carol of Shelbyville, Ron Gaddis and wife Joyce of Shelbyville and Jeff Gaddis and wife Nicole of Rapid City, SD; daughter, Jane Kojeski and husband John of Denham Springs, LA; brother, Bob Boarman and wife Pam of Shelbyville; sisters, Donna Norris and husband Gene of Baldwin, MO, Evelyn Norris and husband George of Taylorville, Sue Roessler of Sullivan and Betty Fulford and husband Carl of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren, Kristin Young and husband Andrew, Bryan Gaddis, Kathy Flattmann and husband Greg, Kevin Kojeski, Jake Kojeski, Brock Gaddis and wife Jerilee, Doug Gaddis and wife Amber, Angela Gaddis and Ashley Gaddis; and great grandchildren, Emma Flattmann, Dylan Gaddis, Casey Gaddis and Brody Gaddis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ed and Joe Boarman.
