Shirley A Reed

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Lee Lovett officiating. Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville or Shelby County Senior Center.
Mrs. Reed was born on July 22, 1929 in Argenta, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Lydia Dallman Mahoney. Shirley worked for Wagner Products in Decatur and then Sta-Rite Ginnie Lou, Shelbyville Unit #4 Schools and Corner Drug all in Shelbyville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville. She married Frederick Reed on September 6, 1947.
Surviving are her husband, Frederick; children, Terie Sumrall (Steven) of Bloomington, IL, Jerie Brown (Roger) of Mattoon, IL and Barry Reed (Theresa) of Lake Worth, FL; brother, Jerry Mahoney (Judy) of Clinton, IL; sister, Lois Whitehead (Ray) of Clinton, IL; grandchildren, Eric Fisher, Courtney Button (Andy), Aaron Fisher (Erin), Angie Kelly (Todd), Jennifer Kuhl (Greg), Heath Reed (fiancée Erin Collner), Quentin Reed and Bryce Reed; and great grandchildren, Annastazia Fisher, Zack Seaman, Anika Button, Austin Fisher, Alex Fisher, Aydan Fisher, Ayson Fisher, Reed Kelly, Braden Kelly and Natalie Ann Kuhl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Halfred Mahoney.
