Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Shirley was born on May 2, 1938 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Lee and Mary Coughlin Chaney. She graduated from Findlay High School in the Class of 1956. Shirley was a data supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service in Springfield, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Shelbyville and Shelbyville Ladies of the Moose #1325.
Surviving are her daughters, Kelly Dodson (Mark) of Pana and Lori Saddoris (Mike Moreman) of Shelbyville; brother, Larry Chaney (Jackie) of Findlay; sisters, Sharon Nees (Butch) of Shelbyville, Carol Wagner (Butch) of Findlay and Sue Long (Chuck) of Taylorville; seven grandchildren, Tonya Wieneke (Mark), Travis Ulmer (Brooke), Cade Saddoris, Daniel Reynolds, Marissa Reynolds, Taylor Dodson, and Kristin Saddoris; two great grandsons, Bryson and Austin Ulmer; extended family, Steve Darnell (Dena) and Scott and Kevin Darnell; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
