Shirley Morgan
(August 11, 1941 – June 16, 2012)
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and one hour before services on Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelby Humane Society.
Shirley was born on August 11, 1941 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the daughter of Eugene and Lillian Davis Webb. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley enjoyed shopping, gardening and caring for her pets. She married B. C. “Sonny” Morgan on March 24, 1956. They began coming to Shelbyville in 1986 and later made it their home.
Surviving are her husband, B.C. “Sonny” Morgan of Shelbyville, IL; children, Helen Huemmer (Kenny) of Orland Park, IL, Michael Morgan (Chrissy) of Orland Park, IL, and Penny Basso (Mark) of Shorewood, IL; brother, Jimmy Webb (Joyce) of Springfield, TN; sisters, Nina Steele (Gene) of Oak Forest, IL and Thelma Fehil of Lyons, IL; nine grandchildren, Nathan Stephens (Jenny), Jennifer Freeman (Tim), Nichole Lies (Jimmy), Chasity Morgan, Wade Morgan (Kristina), Anthony Basso, Morgan Basso, Dakota Morgan, and Jack Basso; and eight great grandchildren, Dylan, Alana and Riley Stephens, Colin Morgan, Joseph and William Freeman, and Autumn and David Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
