Stephen D. Lamb, Sr. , 74, of Missouri, formerly from Shelbyville, IL, passed away on October 18, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Tower Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow at St John’s Lutheran Church (rural Shelbyville) for relatives and friends. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
He was born April 19, 1947 in Decatur, IL, to Charles O. and Dora Leone Shelton Lamb, the eighth of eight children. Steve graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1965. Steve is remembered best for his talented team penning abilities and his love for horses.
Survivors include his children: Tammie (Ronnie, Jr.) Pfeiffer of Shelbyville, Stephen (fiancée Lila Jarnagin) Lamb, Jr., of Shelbyville, Angela (Greg) Lambert of Anna, Stephanie Burba, and Stacie (Jeremy) Contreras both of Magnolia, KY; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Kaye Mentz of Centennial, CO, and Charlotte Richardson of Casa Grande, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Beverly Davidson and Jane Harrington; three brothers: Charles, Richard, and William Lamb.
