Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. The family requests no food. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be given to the First Christian Church or Saving Orphaned Animals both in Shelbyville, IL.
Suzanne was born on March 19, 1947 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Charles Walter “Bally” and Adeline “Sue” (Harding) Lloyd. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1965 and attended Sparks Business College and SIU in Carbondale. Suzanne worked for over 25 years at the Shelby Electric Cooperative in Shelbyville, IL, where she served as secretary of the engineering department and later as secretary of the member services department. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Glenwood Cemetery Board. Suzanne enjoyed caring for animals, collecting antiques, and going to flea markets. She married Jackie L. “Jack” Tate on May 12, 1972 in Shelbyville, IL.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; and mother-in-law, Vivian Tate of Shelbyville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Clarence L. “Jack” Tate.
