Teri Jo Lynch, 59, of Shelbyville, died at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 in her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Eastview Terrace Activity Fund.

Teri Jo was born on March 2, 1952 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Newton Harold and Helen Stewardson Prosser. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1970. She married her high school sweetheart, James A. Lynch on July 26, 1970, and they moved to Murray, Kentucky, where Teri Jo achieved her LPN and Jim graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1972. They moved back home to Shelbyville and raised their beautiful family, her pride and joy, of three children. Teri Jo then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John’s School of Nursing in 1994 followed by her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2008. Teri Jo was the Director of Nursing at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan, IL. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville.

Surviving are her lifelong companion, best friend and husband, Jim; sons, Toby Lynch and wife Stacia of Shelbyville; Tony Lynch and Neil Mohlman of Houston, TX; daughter, Jaime Jo Davis and husband Justin of Shelbyville; mother-in-law, Norma Lynch of Dalton City; four grandchildren, Chase Jackson, Sophia Lynch, Gavyn Davis and Ariana Davis all of Shelbyville; and two aunts, Betty Prosser of Shelbyville and Nancy Messmore and husband Bill of Findlay.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Winford H. “Bill” Lynch.
