Ansle “Terry” Beccue, 59, of Shelbyville, died at 7:09 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services on Monday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Tower Hill Fire Department or Shelby Christian Church.

Terry was born on November 4, 1951 in Tower Hill, Illinois, the son of Ansle D. and Opal Calhoon Beccue. He worked at Shelby County Community Services for over 39 years. He was active in the Shelby Bells and was a medalist in the Special Olympics. Terry was a member of the Tower Hill Fire Department for over 30 years and was also involved with Tower Hill First Responders, Shelby County E.S.D.A. and Red Cross. He worked security for the Tower Hill Fall Festival and the Tower Hill Lions Club Community Auction and earned a Red Belt in Taekwondo. Terry enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and watching professional wrestling with Daniel. He was a member of Shelby Christian Church in Shelbyville and also attended the Tower Hill Christian Church. Terry was very knowledgeable about the Bible and the Civil War.

Surviving are his brother, Darrel Logsdon and wife Beverly of Wichita, KS; sister, Evelyn Cole and husband Robert of Mt. Zion; and nieces and nephews, Debbie Calantoni and husband Ray, Darleen Krawiec and husband Richie, Pennie Davis, Jon Bryson and wife Debbie, Craig Logsdon and wife Karla and Kevin Logsdon and wife Mona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Washburn and Mary Cravens; and niece, Diana Alsop.
